| Tiivistelmä: | The KANBAN principle (called also just-in-time) has been developed in Toyota Motor Company 40 years ago. It is a decentralised type of production control, whereby every phase of production produces just for the demand of the next phase. A small identity card is attached to every part which moves along with it and shows all the necessary information. KANBAN is most suitable for mass production and relatively stable demand. It requires an easy to mobilise 100 % surplus capacity. |
