Tiivistelmä:Although until now the German economic development has been based on the principle of the division of labour, the increasing disfunctionality of this organizational strategy has now brought organizers to focus their attention on the possibilities offered by an overall approach. Clearly this implies that in future the hope of resolving problems will lie not in perfect systems but rather in competent managers capable of dealing with complex situations. As a result, the interest of academics engaged in the field of organization has shifted away from the issue of rationalisation, with its emphasis on functions, to the human element - the firm's employees, their motivation, knowledge and abilities.
