| Tiivistelmä: | According to investigation data, there are 668 cities in China by 1997 they produce 70 percent of GNP. The rate of urbanlization reaches 30 percent. It is forecasted that the urbanlization level in China will reach 45 percent approximately by 2010 and 55 percent by 2020. 400 million rural populations will be changed into urban populations and more than half of the population will live in cities. At present, the majority of atmosphere environment in all cities fail to meet the standard formulated by WHO. There are less than 1 percent of cities which meet the national first-class standard of atmosphere quality. Therefore, cities will focus on people, make them as the core and make it the priority to improve people's living quality in the future. |
