Tiivistelmä: | Rosenbluth Travel in Philadelphia has dealt successfully with change for 100 years. The company has survived and prospered from the end of its original immigrant-oriented business through mass market leisure travel to the growth of business travel. When Hal Rosenbluth came into the family business in 1974, three-quarters of the business was vacations. But when airline deregulation began transforming travel business into a stew of continuously changing fares, routes, limitations and opportunities, Hal had several insights that changed the company and the way it did business. He saw the most valuable product was not tickets but information and grasped the critical importance of information systems that were independent of airlines. |
