Tiivistelmä: | Much of the potential of the information age depends on superior learning systems and superior control systems. Human mastery of the systems calls for refined concepts of time related to work. A different consciousness of time is important in three ways: human concept of time influences our concept of organization, compressing routine lead times stimulates productivity and quality improvement, compressing time-to-change converts responding to change into a regular activity. Timely leassons were learned from Henry Ford's case story (some time related cases are overviewed in the automobile industry). Case stories are also presented for lead time and time-to-change concepts, for learning time and improvement cycle relationship. |
