| Tiivistelmä: | In the 1990s the strategic planner will not provide sufficient value added in the role of a planning coordinator but will be likely to follow the course of past management fads like MBO, quality circles, and participative management as an extension of the chief executive officer (CEO). In acting this way, two major efforts are required of the strategic planner: establishing the criteria that effective integrated strategic planning should meet, and ensuring that the criteria are applied. 14 sets of questions to be asked and answered are presented. The role of corporate strategic planner is described and compared with the role of the strategic business unit's strategic planner. The Strategic Planning Group's role is also discussed. |
