| Tiivistelmä: | The paper presents the decision-theoretic approach of modelling a dynamic stochastic innovation process. The driving force decisive for sustained technological and structural change arises from international innovative activity of private firms in imperfect markets. The analysis starts at the firm level, and consistently integrates bottom-up the market level, the national level, and finally the international level. This procedure enables us to analyze microeconomic and macroeconomic aspects of the innovation process within a unified treatment. |
