| Tiivistelmä: | There is no magic in building a competitive information systems (IS) organization. IS professionals must earn the right to be viewed as a business partner within the corporation. Achieving this requires viewing users as clients and managing that relationship more effectively. The corporation now has real and perceived alternatives to the IS department. Outsourcing is only one of them. To remain competitive, the IS organization has to provide excellent service. To do this, IS professional must understand the client's business and be constantly aware of client expectations. Customer satisfaction is a results of performance meeting or exceeding expectations. Several crucial skills of an IS professional are identified. |
