Tiivistelmä:Before choosing overseas production locations, managers must consider not only resource and cost benefits but also the effect that country of origin can have on consumer evaluations. An experiment was made by a telephone survey procedure to examine country of origin perceptions in 12 countries and 8 products. Results indicate that preferences were more product specific for industrialized than less developed countries.
