| Tiivistelmä: | The article discusses some problems such as the growth rate of Shanghai's economy in 1992, the infrastructure construction and the influence of returning to GATT on Shanghai's economy. The article also forecasts the development trend in 1993. The economic development of Shanghai in 1993 would confront some obstacles such as shock, caused by returning to GATT, slow increase in consumer demand and low efficiency of state-owned enterprises. The way out is to take further steps to develop new market, to raise the dominant status of the market and to reform enterprise organization. The article also introduces the present situation and the development prospect in Pudong district. |
