| Tiivistelmä: | Because of the negative emotional effects of frightening media programs, techniques to reduce or prevent children's media-induced fear have drawn research attention. An experiment examined the influence of prior information on children's emotional responses to a scary program.Self-report and psychological measures of emotion showed that the threat forewarning increased children's fear responses, while prior knowledge of the happy outcome tended to reduce fear. |
