Tiivistelmä: | The major task of the European Broadcasting Conference of 1948 in Copenhagen was to realign medium-wave frequencies in Europe. The U.S. refused to sign the Copenhagen Agreement as its interests required the allocation of enough frequencies to support the three broadcasting services (VOA, RIAS, AFN) it had established in Germany. This move had far-reaching effects on broadcasting in Western Europe. |
