Tiivistelmä:In this time of sweeping globalization of markets, businesses that want not only to prosper but, more important, to survive, must focus on the traditional basics of sound business and develop a total commitment to quality and serving the customer. To effectively develop the products the customer wants and needs, R&D must be linked to marketing and sales. In what is becoming a case study of a corporate turnaround, Goodyear went back to the basics, reduced debt at the rate of 100 million dollars a month for 18 moths, created worldwide associate involvement, and focused on giving the customer what the customer wants and offering products the customer wants to buy.
