| Tiivistelmä: | The relation between structural change and business cycles is one of the central issues of empirical business cycle research and practical economic policy. The article investigates the issue from German point of view: the central question of the study is as follows: were the three economic declines in the last two decades cyclical declines of the demand, or rather they were consequences of structural changes? The author outlines the main theories of economic research relating to the issue, and applies them to the German situation. |
