| Tiivistelmä: | Higher levels of public awareness, greater scientific understanding of the interaction between manufacturing and the natural environment, and more stringent environmental regulation indicate that research is urgently needed into the linkage between environmental management and operations management. Drawing on the manufacturing strategy literature and personal experience, an open system framework for integrating environmental issues into manufacturing is proposed and explored. |
