| Tiivistelmä: | Information technology creates jobs rather than destroys them. This is the conclusion of a survey across all 12 EC countries. The survey sought information on the effects of new information technology on employment at the level of the firm and on how companies managed the introduction of new information technology in relation to their employees. They were asked if as a result of new information technology, any employees were laid off, left voluntarily, were transferred to another job or were recruited to work with the new information technology. |
