| Tiivistelmä: | Despite the business importance of information technology, IT development functions often fail to serve the business needs of their parent organizations because of weaknesses in the management of development projects. In 1991-1992, an internal study at Dun & Bradstreet Europe, UK, highlighted a lack of formal control of the definition and initiation of projects, and poor control of projects by managers in a conventional hierarchical management structure. |
