Tiivistelmä: | Many companies undertake total quality programs but few realize significant results. The problem lies in the approach. Instead of aiming for near-term, specific, achievable results, a company will first attempt changes of a cosmic order, such as instilling a new corporate structure. Quality control disappears into this bureaucratic void. Confronted by either the need or desire to improve quality, managers revert to the same well-worn paths they have trod for other performance challenges. |
