| Tiivistelmä: | One of the fundamental learning processes taking place in organisations is that leading to the development of core competence. Adopting the perspective of the resource-based view of the firm from which the authors extend the existing bases of theory, indicated in the extensive bibliography, which focuses on the firm's resources and capabilities to understand business strategy and to provide direction to strategy formulation, this article emphasises the learning aspects of capability development and explores how information technology (IT) and information systems (IS) can contribute to it. |
