| Tiivistelmä: | Under US trade laws there are two main channels through which domestic industries can seek relief. Safeguard policies are used when imports are deemed to harm the domestic economy or competing industries. Unfair trade policies are used to combat foreign trade practices deemed "unfair". Even though both channels provide trade relief, it has long been recognized that there is a distinction between the two forms of administered protection. |
