| Tiivistelmä: | This study examines patterns of early career moves among a sample of 350 business graduates of Kuwait University (from 1978 to 1986). The results indicate that patterns of career moves for males and females are different from those reported in Western cultures. Career behaviors of nationals and expatriates are somewhat unique to, and reflective of, local labor market conditions, differential sector work demands, and cultural values. Implications of the results, particularly for multinational corporations operating in the Arab Gulf region, are discussed. |
