| Tiivistelmä: | Technical document preparation, with its weird symbols, and mathematical structures governed by special typesetting rules, has always been a problem for word-processing programs. The major players - Word, WordPerfect, Ami Pro - meet the challenge by providing "equation editors" which allow you to compose complicated formulas and then embed them into the main document. But while this is acceptable for the occasional equation, it is less satisfactory in a mathematics-rich manuscript, where the need to switch constantly between the main document and the special equation window of the "applet" is cumbersome. |
