| Tiivistelmä: | HRM has its roots in America. The aim of this article is to examine its origins and application in the USA. As we shall see, the evidence casts some doubt upon any assumptions that HRM is widely applied in the USA. As far as we can judge, it appears to be limited to a small number of well-known cases. This raises questions about how we can reconcile the enthusiasm and the 'talking up' with the substance. |
