| Tiivistelmä: | The core of this paper presents suggestions aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing the high cost of production. The primary focus here will not be the reduction of protection, although in some instances the author will in fact raise the question of whether protection is not too high. But it is not the purpose of this paper to expound the general case for free trade. The author works from the assumption that the nations of the region are determined to support automotive production. The primary objective of this paper is to study if and how protection may be made more efficient. |
