| Tiivistelmä: | The collapse of the former GDR and the subsequent unification of Germany have meant unemployment and a transformation at the workplace. The examined is the work of the Treuhandanstalt -- which oversaw the privatisation process -- look at its successor organisations. The impact on the workforce is assessed as a whole. In general the paper deals with the five years of the privatization process which has been going on in Eastern Germany. Has employment been really seriously affected? |
