| Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of this review article is to provide a summary of the scientific literature on stochastic vehicle routing problems. The main problems are described within a broad classification scheme and the most important contributions are summarized in table form. The study of SVRPs is a relatively new and fast growing research area which should gain in importance with the spread of real-time vehicle guidance systems and the need to provide updated instructions to drivers. As compared to the development of research in the deterministic case, research on SVRPs is rather underdeveloped. |
