| Tiivistelmä: | A case study on Sustainable development in shoe production, performed as lifecycle assessment of six products, is presented. A new qualitative approach, called the Sustainability Assessment, is described. It facilitates the assessment of Ecoperformance and the implementation of Sustainable Development in enterprises, using natural and social science data. The strategic evaluation of product lifecycles promotes cost reduction in purchasing, production and waste management, and it improves human resources through motivation of employees. |
