Tiivistelmä:While people have argued that we are in the Information Age, the author argues that the Information Age has already come and gone. We are in the ninth generation of the personal computer, and the Information Age was about the building of the databases that we are now excavating so well. The author argues that we are actually in the Age of Access. In this new Age of Access, the equilibrium between what is accessible and what is scarce will change dramatically. Our personal goal in the 10-to-20-year horizon will be built on identifying what is now accessible and what is truly scarce.
