Working side by side with their suppliers' employees, customers are improving quality, reducing cycle times, cutting costs, and increasing capacity. The results of these efforts are impressive. A manager at General Motors, whose group has completed supplier development projects with more than 2000 suppliers, cites average supplier productivity improvements of more than 50 percent during their one-week workshops. |
