Tiivistelmä:This article argues that spontaneous humour should not be considered a subversive force within organizations, but rather an organizational resource. Humour plays a vital role in helping to close the communication gap between leader and followers, providing an alternative channel of communication, and helping to extract information which might not otherwise be volunteered. Humour makes organizational confusion more bearable, and draws attention to areas in need of management attention, claims the author of the article.
