| Tiivistelmä: | One result of the increasing concern over the system of governance in the UK was the establishment of the Cadbury Committee to consider the financial aspects of corporate governance. The objective of this paper is, first, to add to the growing body of knowledge on the impact of the code which incorporates some of the recommendations and, second to consider whether the changes that have undoubtedly resulted from the acceptance of The Code of Best Practice have achieved the desired goals of increasing the effectiveness and accountability of boards of directors. |
