Tiivistelmä:This study argues that an organization's performance may affect profoundly a CEO's evaluations of his policies and departments. Good performance may cause a leader to attribute special merit to focal skills and tasks, those tied to executive's reputation, objectives or political interests. This attribution can make CEO to elevate the relative status of the functional department within which such tasks are said to reside. This favoritism draws resources, prestige and attention towards one function and away from the others.
