| Tiivistelmä: | The use of information technology to support the management of routine business processes and non-routine projects is widespread. However, this support has not been effective in helping to improve the managerial functions of coordination, communication and control. The performance in these functions depends excessively on the individual managerial skills and experience. This paper proposes Management Petri Nets (MPN) for modelling management systems. The integration of MPN models with the information technology support of management tasks through a common database is also proposed. |
