| Tiivistelmä: | The proportions of raw materials and energy sources industries in industry and large-sized state-owned enterprise in the western area are high. On the contrary, the light industry with high added value and non-state-owned enterprises make up a high proportion. In terms of industrial structure, a regional division of work between the central and western areas and the eastern area has been formed. However, the industrial development and investment environment in the central and western areas have proved inferior by comparison due to the control of the state's policies of price examination and investment. In recent one or two years, some traditional industries in the eastern coastal area began to be transferred to the central and western areas, which benefits narrowing the gap. |
