| Tiivistelmä: | The basic law provides system and legal guarantee for Hong Kong's prosperity and stability. As Hong Kong has the unique status which can not be replaced in Taiwanese investment in the mainland, Hong Kong as the intermediate place for Taiwan investment in the mainland and its status as the centre for managing funds have be influenced slightly after its return to the motherland in 1997 and will not be influenced much in a certain period of time in the future. Its intermediary status in shipping will continue to be kept because of the renewed treaty on right of navigation between Taiwan and Hong Kong. |
