| Tiivistelmä: | Many information systems cannot optimize the quality of data provided to users, especially in diverse user communities which have dynamic needs. Poor data quality can severely hamper organizations' effectiveness. During Desert Storm operations it became evident that tactical decisions concerning strike and amphibious warfare rely upon timely and accurate information describing the location and condition of targets. Even when there was an abundance of appropriate image data, it was shown to have limited value to the tactical user. There was no way to match available imagery and necessary processing routines to a given user's specific mission requirements. This study presents a system designed to dynamically tailor information products to user needs. |
