| Tiivistelmä: | The paper presents a model combining the increasing specialization and adoption of modern technologies views of industrialization. It is shown that, in a certain framework, firms prefer to delay industrialization in the development trap. This suggests that policies aimed at transition by using indicative planning are unlikely to be successful. |
