| Tiivistelmä: | These years, from 1993 through 1997, the environmental protection industry was growing at a speed of 14% in average. It has become a part of the national economy with an ever-increasing proportion. The profit rate of this industry is 15.7% in 1998, higher than other sectors. The specifications for the acceptance of environment-friendly products is being drawn up to standardize the market of this industry. As a result, the products that had been mostly "non-standard" are turning to be standard. The floods along Yangtze River have reminded us of the urgency and significance to improve the ecological environment. 9 provinces along Yellow River have started with the environmental protection actions including forest ecological harness projects at the middle reach of the river. |
