| Tiivistelmä: | The reform experience of the banking sector in the East European countries could be extremely useful to Ukraine, especially with regard to the reform of the activity of central banks and to the institution of new forms of regulation of financial markets. This section of the survey is dedicated to the principal instruments of monetary policy of the National Bank of Poland (NBP). The NBP currently uses the following instruments to influence commercial-bank activity: various types of refinancing credit; mandatory reserve requirements; open-market operations. |
