Tiivistelmä:The authors examine the choices and practices concerning the formulation of marketing strategies of hospitability organisations in Greece. The introduction includes a bibliographical review of marketing strategies in general and of the theory of generic competitive strategies that was developed by Michael Porter particular. The survey findings are presented in tabulation form and a discussion follows. The most important issue that this survey has established is that most of the marketing strategies that are followed by hoteliers in Greece are characterised either by the element of cost leadership or differentiation or focus.
