| Tiivistelmä: | As recently as 1994, "the linking of economic restructuring with the introduction of funded pensions seem(ed) far-fethced" (Holzmann, 1994, p.184). Yet, significantly, it does so no longer. What was radical and innovative a few years ago has become (almost) conventional wisdom and (certainly) fashionable policy prescription. This article seeks critically to explore key aspects of what is widely, if still quite variably, defined as the "unfinished business of pensions reform" across the transition economies . |
