| Tiivistelmä: | China's tariff rate presents ladder-shaped structure. The import tariff rate of the whole cars is high. China is implementing the policy which makes the domestication rate of introduced car models link up with the import tariff rate of parts. Under such a tariff policy, there appears misguidance in the development of car industry in China. Importance has been attached to the development of factories producing main engine while the development of parts and accesories industry neglected to a great extent. So this paper makes the following suggestion: China should adopt balanced tariff rate structure or draw close to it while adjusting downward tariff rate in car industry. |
