| Tiivistelmä: | Are there some aspects of a company's core business which can and should be outsourced? This question challenges traditional models of strategy which maintain that outsourcing of core activities is risky. The principal proposition in this paper is that outsourcing what seems to be core makes sense when the organisation in under threat in each of these four circumstances: catch-up, changing value chains, technology shifts, or emerging markets. |
