| Tiivistelmä: | To identify current practices in the management of knowledge in small organizations - as well to examine similarities and differences among knowledge management practices in large and small firms - the study presented in this article was done as a follow-up to a 1995-1996 study of knowledge management practice in Fortune 500 and Post 300 firms. The research questionnaire was divided into 2 sections. First, participants (senior managers) were asked to provide responses to Likert-scaled items focusing on business practices. Second, respondents were asked to indicate the extent to which specific intangible assets and nonfinancial resources contributed and are expected to contribute to the overall success of their business. In this article, the findings from the study of small U.S. and Canadian firms are presented. |
