| Tiivistelmä: | Based on institutioneconomical approaches, the author throws light on the value drivers of franchising, namely ownership, financing and pay structures and the link between brand and non-patentable know-how. In doing so, the basis of efficiency of this form of organisation and how it differs from the multi-branch and licence systems is explained. |
