| Tiivistelmä: | This article explores whether there is need for regulation in industries of the internet economy due to network effects. The analysis is based on instruments derived from the traditional literature on network effects which are discussed in detail in the first part of the paper. Three industries of the internet economy are identified, where strong network effects are present: the internet infrastructure, the software industry, and the intermediaries sector (original in German). |
