| Tiivistelmä: | The leaders of today's e-businesses are standing on the shoulders of giants. The past actions and attributes of successful leaders are more than relevant to today's leaders- they offer a near-complete blueprint for success. Yet, as this article shows, simply emulating former leadership steps and characteristics is insufficient. History does not repeat itself-it only rhymes. The business context has changed, and there are several important signposts to note. Speed, breadth of stakeholders, different business models, and the rapid shift in technology capability, are among the new context variables. The opportunity exists for today's leaders to learn from and improve upon past successes. |
