Tiivistelmä:Since manager's (hereafter as: mgrs.) decisions impact organizational (henceforth as: org-l.) goals and org-l. ethical behaviour (here as: e-b.), this research investigated the degree to which there are differences (here as: diffs.) in the moral reasoning ability of business mgrs. of selected industries and whether there are significant diffs. btw. top, middle, and first-line management levels. The study considered three independent variables: reported org-l. ethical climate (here as: e-c.), locus of control, and selected demographic and institutional variables (or: vars). A survey questionnaire was sent to 400 managerial and executive level employees at a random sample of Fortune 500 firms throughout the United States (U.S.) A major finding of this study was the statistically significant relationship (here as: s-s-r-ship.) btw. age and perceived org-l. e-c. types. Another major finding revealed a s-s-r-ship. btw. management levels and org-l. e-c.
