Tiivistelmä:The emergence of perception gaps btw. headquarters (hereafter as: HQs.) and subsidiaries (here as: subs.) has an important bearing on both research practice and on managerial issues. This study investigates the link btw. the multinational corporations (MNC) unitÂ’s strategic environments (here as: str-envs.) and perception gaps (here as: p-gaps.) Evidence was found that certain str-envs. bear a higher risk for p-gaps. concerning information flows btw. HQs. and subs. and the subs.' autonomy. The results also confirm that tense p-gaps. have a negative effect on managers' satisfaction, thus posing a threat to the company's operations.
