Tiivistelmä:In the 1990s the flattening of management hierarchy was widely promoted as an organizational strategy which designated a danger for middle managers. However, in the same time the ratio of excess executives raised in the US corporations. This article discusses ‘the myth of managerial downsizingÂ’ examining the managerial employment trends outside the USA to reveal a somewhat different truth.
